Despite embarking on their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Missing star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.

This match offered a platform for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
